Weird problem in display, and detachment in 5 days after cleaning...

    First problem:
Whitish stuff around my display. Can't tell if it's the smallest micro bubbles I've EVER seen, or if it's a growth of some sort:

It's on the INSIDE of the tank.

    SECOND problem:
Detachment. I added a filter sock to my Return pipe, and in 13 hours, this is what I have:

Monday is the day I clean my screen. So today and yesterday, I collected about this much algae. The filter sock cleans off REALLY easily.

I'm just running out of options to keep long hair algae from floating all over my tank.

So, should I be cleaning my screen more frequently now? Detachment is pretty extreme it seems.
And if it falls off and dies in my tank, don't I take huge steps backwards in water quality?

Just clean more often. Also, an algae eater in the tank should take care of the rest. Nobody else has had this problem so it can't be too hard to fix.

Make sure screen is rough enough to hold algae.

Your pics don't seem to use a flash - hard to see anything. It that filter sock covered with algae on the outside? Confused.
