Use of algae scrubber on a hospital / quarantine tank?

Anyone ever tried this? After treating an anemone with antibiotics and using ammonia filter pads to keep ammonia in check, it started to get me to wonder. I guess the concern might be what, if anything, the algae might absorb. Could a HOG UAS ready if needed on a DT and then transferred to a QT tank? What about with copper for ich treatments. Thoughts?

    It has been done.

Too much copper will kill it though.
