    polyps receding

Pretty much coinciding with my screen cleaning, my polyps on my SPS have receded and are not showing themselves for about 3 weeks. I took a couple frags to a friends and they came out with a few days. I did have low Alk but it has been taken care of, now back to around 8dKh. Nitrates - 0 , phosphtes - .01.

Really weird, has anyone experienced this with an ATS....usually I have amazing polyp extension.

Might be getting enough food particles so they don't need to extend as much.

I am not too thrilled about it!!!

I am still seeing growth which is promising...but I am a fan of polyps, I want them out! My alk is stabilized now, I am really hoping that was it and i will see improvement over the coming days. I don't have a skimmer to plug back in, not one that is worth plugging in anyway!

That's interesting. I've always had great polyp extension with a scrubber, even on my last system.

Would feeding a little less and not plugging the skimmer back in have more or less the same effect ?
