I have performed no cleaning on the tank other than cleaning the front glass only. I did add a few more snails but as you can see, the tank is noticeably cleaner.

Here's my scrubber:



It's a small trash can with a paint bucket on the side that I use to create a surge effect on my screen. The water rushes out of the bucket once every 15 seconds or so to soak the screen and then provides time for the algae to breathe.

Here's my latest harvest after 3 weeks. I probably should clean it in less time but it's still impressive.

That is soo cool! Most impressive and I like your Yellow Tang. He looks like a character. Though of all your tank denizens, he probably liked the excessive algae before.

Any closeup pics of the previous algae on the rocks?

I know I have some pics somewhere but I haven't found them yet. The back glass used to be absolutely covered in green algae but now it's staying clean on its own. I have never cleaned it... The rocks weren't that bad but there were some patches of cyano in places that are now gone.
