    Yeah but you just don't want magnets exposed to water. There are all kinds of impurities that could be leeched into the water, especially with the neodymium magnets. Noedymium magnets will even rust and corrode when 100% sealed, because they offgas ever so slightly, but it's enough to result in oxidation and expansion, which is why the outer coating can crack.

    A question for anyone using the HOG UAS from Santa Monica. Does anyone see algae growth around the sides where there are magnets?

    If so, we could be onto something.

    I don't see any significant algae growth around your magnets on that build. UASs grow algae on every underwater surface, so this one might be hard to actually make happen. My UAS grows algae on top of smooth acrylic to the point where it needs to be scrubbed off each time.
