    Algae Mower Vac

I just came across is this:

Neat little device. I bought one to try it out. One of the tanks I "maintain" (meaning, I change filter socks every once in a while and try to convince the owner that their tank looks like SH#@) seems like it would make short order of tufts of GHA that were in hard-to-reach places. Good tool for someone trying to battle off the nuisance algae in the tank while also trying to ramp up a scrubber, which can be difficult if your "in-tank scrubber" is strong.

    Another gadget Floyd

Perhaps you could clean a screen with one ?!? Sort of like a pruning, to encourage growth.

Hey, I never thought of that....hmmm....would probably work well on a UAS actually, better than a waterfall at least, as the waterfall screen would have to be removed and then submerged in a separate tank. It looks like this thing is a pump with a set of stiff wires attached to the impeller so that it grabs and twists/braids the algae, then sucks it up and spits it into a bag or something. I have to see it in person to see how it works. Should have it in a few days.
