    First time scrubber!

    hi all

im currently planning my first algae scrubber to be housed in an 80ltr sump to supply a 300ltr tank.

this might sound like a stupid question but will i need baffles in the sump?

    thanks

    Welcome.

Baffles would be just for bubble removal. You might want to wait for the rest of the posting on the floating surface scrubber so you can consider making it instead. It will have no bubbles to remove.

That depends on the scrubber you choose to build, as well as the configuration of your sump.

A small waterfall scrubber can be made such that it does not create a lot of bubbles, or if it does, there are ways to reduce that effect.

A UAS can also be made in such a way that bubbles are not an issue.
