pictures says more than words.
The growing is from 6 days butt on 24 hours.
It more algea than i gett on 14 hours so i tink my leds are burning to low the work on 350 ma so tat is on half power.
I orderd a 600 ma driver to see what happends.
It must be to big flow ore to less light i think.
my po4 and no3 rised up to 0.15 and 5 thats wy i run the light longer.
Greetings

Yes it does need stronger light.
my screen is 25 cm and 12 cm down and is lit by 20 leds 3 watt 660nm max power is 700Ma and now running on 350Ma would upgrading to 600Ma do the trick ore should I run other leds?
That is probably the problem. 350ma is very little. I would do at least 500 as long as it does not get too hot.
Oke thanks
I orderd the 600ma so lets see what happends.
The temp whould increase i think its now almost 28 celcius after burning a day so i will putt a fan on it.
algae must have a dark period! 24/7 lighting is a big no-no. With the LEDs you have, I would think that 12 hours would be enough. I would have started there
I had them on 14 hours for a almoust 2 months butt wen i gott higher no3 and po4 i putt them on 24 to see what happends.
The should burn the algea butt the algea are dark so i need more power.
I putt them on 22 hours till my driver comes in.
Hope it will work with more power.
Hi Varke
FYI - I have 20x3w LEDs (16 red & 4 blue) running 14hrs a day on two mean well LPC-35-700 drivers (10leds each driver) with great growth. I'm about two months into my build now. Algae is just starting to turn light green in places but is mostly still darkish. The screen size is A3 but the light only realy hits 2/3rds direct with the bottom 1/3 slightly out of direct light. The entire mat still gets covered in growth though.
Here is a link to the drivers

Snoops
Thanx snoops
I orderd the 600ma because i don t want to run full power.
I thougt that half power should work and it would be a lot less heat.
Greetings.
