Scrubber Plastic Canvas or....??

Hi, just have a question, does it have to be a Plastic canvas? Or can i use a well sanded 1/4" Acrylic sheet?

Sanded acrylic does not work well at all.

It works same as plastic canvas in case you have one sided slanted waterfall. Mine was just a little slanted - almost vertical. Was working well. I exchanged to plastic canvas in hopes to see improvement . That was just hopes.

Cant comment on two sider though.
