    Snail food

    Hey,
I'm wondering, once the system is working really nice, and there is no visible algae growing in the tank... I'd be afraid the snails might starve or start eating stuff one doesn't want them to eat. Or will there always be enough growth to feed them?
What about larger, more active ornamental grazers like abalone and such?

As the nuisance algae dies off, snails and such will need additional feeding. Or, if you used a hang-on-glass style, you can slide the scrubber sideways and the animals can eat from the glass.

Of course you can always toss some algae from the scrubber into the display.
