    My scrubber :)

Finally got around to making my scrubber this week.
I looked at many designs and wanted to keep things simple and quiet.

Below is the result. Acrylic box with one end having an opening. Tilted downwards with roughed up mesh flat on the bottom. 23W Cool whit CFL and eheim 600 compact pumping water to the top. It runs completely silently

Only had it running for one day but hopefully by next weekend I will see progress

    Any thoughts on it?

Well the main thing is that the chaeto won't be getting any light. Also you could change to a warm light, or best, a LED grow light.

But since it's running, let's see how it does

just checked CFL box and it is a warm CFL......

Someone is coming to get the chaeto as its no longer needed. It is full of pods but pointless as it wont get any light.

LED's will eventually be the plan. Self build with RED LED's. Will probably aim for 3x3w red leds.

any advice welcome. I realize its a different design but wanted to try it

Probably best to get a 45w 12" square light.
