Quick disconnect system?

Is there a quick disconnect system for releasing scrubber screen (as attached to its pipe) from the feeder pipe for easy weekly cleanings, something like the one used on garden hoses?

I think using a domestic hose pipe connecter would mean too small a hole for water to travel through, fitted into 1" water supply pipework from sump pump.

Im looking at a sreen of 28x9" =252sq inches so whatever gallons p/h that adds up to?

Thanks for those innovative ideas, I like the idea of attaching the screen to the pipe as a permanent fixture, as its tuff stuff (the plastic screen) and disconnecting at the point where the water feed pipe connects to the screen holding pipe, so I can just quick release, lift the whole pipe/screen out for weekly cleaning.

Any ideas around practicle quick disconnect of water feed pipe?

Thanks, this is an inspiring site!

Unions are very easy to separate pipes with. You don't even need movable pipes to use them.

Be sure to use light-shields, to keep algae from growing into the slot.

Kcress your a star, of course Unions!

Santa, funny I was thinking about that very question, very important to have. What do you suggest as a permanent fix for this?
Almost needs some sort of U shaped pipe or something to just sit over the pipe and low enough to shield the light.
