    Welcome.

    Not bad for a first build. Main thing is the large size; you probably are not feeding that much. But the flow off the bottoms seems ok, so see how it develops.

    @santamonica

    As I said in the video using that 20 high not sure how else to keep the screen high enough to light it safely(power goes out water rises). Sorry for asking something that's prolly burried in this forum somewhere but what are the down sides to having a large screen?

    It won't ever get thick green because there are not enough nutrients for the GHA to grow out and into the flow. It will still work though.

    I bit more water in your sump will bring the end of your screen underwater and stop most of the splashing noise.

    You may also want to put some plastic wrap over the top to help with spray. I use a cut 1 gal sandwitch bag that hangs down about 6" on each side of my 2 sided screen.

    This won't reduce your light.
