10x6 is pretty big. I feed my 150G pretty heavy 3+ cubes and have a 36" screen 6x6.

    thanks for your reply
I have thought of purchasing a scrubber from you but by the time I paid for the scrubber and freight plus govmnt tax of about an extra 27% cause they charge on freight too it would put the unit beyond a reasonable price
the unit is 14x8" long with the screen 10xabout 6" the tank is 220gal with sump 54gal
the lights are led with originally 8x3watt 660 deep red with 2x3watt royal blue both sides but I think they may be strong...can alter because they are screw and plug in led's
so can alter their positions and pattern
hope this gives you an idea
have read just about everything you have on the net and all is excellent info

this is in the planning stages ..have drawings of what I want but would like to get info on what size of scrubber I need for 220gal tank...eventually stock would be 12 to 15 fish max size 4" and a full reef with inverts and water turnover from DC octapus pump is 10500lph
as I have just moved from Australia to Thailand the tank I brought over was damaged in shipping so have a new tank and sump being delivered here on tuesday
so I want to have everything ready for when I start to fill tank
can email you drawings and how lighting would be too...have ordered led's plus drivers and sinks from rapidled.com
might be interested if you do an unassembled kit cause I know how to weld acrylic....unassembled might not incur a tax cause would be just pieces of plastic.and would be flat not bulky
would wait your email address and I will send drawings

Scrubbers are not sized for tank size but to the amount you feed. Have read the sizing guide lines thread, see it here this will help. http://algaescrubber.net/forums/show...ing-guidelines

    No more kits available.

Figure your feeding first. If you don't feed the corals, sounds like 5 to 10 cubes a day.

ok I get it now...size and lighting is measured by the amount of food that is put in the tank per day and there is a minimum water flow rate too...yep I think I am nearly there
so if I fed 3 cubes which I think is 1cubic cm a day and maybe 5mls of coral food then I would require a screen of 350 sq cm =25x15cm and flow rate above 450lph ...led lighting is 14watt per side
    how are these figures ?????
