    Clogged HOG1

After running the HOG1 for about a year it seems the growth got into the airline tube that feeds the wet side. I cleaned the slit up portions during harvests but the clog seems to be in the tube portion that is under the green grabber surface since it totally prevents bubbles from getting to the chamber. I tried hooking it up to a stronger air pump as well as blowing in it to try to dislodge whatever was clogging the line with no real results. Anyone have any decent ideas for unclogging it? Thinking about just bleach bathing the whole thing to kill organics and hoping that resolves the issue and start it as a new unit.

It's lime buildup, not algae. Vinegar will remove it; just get all the water out of the tubing and drip some vinegar into the tube from both directions; fill the tube up so that the weight will push the vinegar through the clog. It should bubble a lot.

If you do it carefully you can keep the screen wet and alive.
