    You probably want to keep the snail off of the scrubber. Unless you are trying to grow snails

    update...
    I Have concluded that snails and worms won the battle of the filter! In the end I was scared to get bitten an sucked in to the filter and eaten by giants worms.. they were pretty ugly!
    Now I have got rid of all the rocks and worms... and plastic canvas is the way!
    Oh and I changed the plastic sump aswell
