How to Harvest Amphipod and Copepods when cleaning scrubber???

I have the two of the Santa-Monica 100 Turf scrubbers that sit right above my refugium. When I clean them I see a bunch of Amphipods and copepods in the harvested algae. I was wondering what is the best way to get these pods out of the harvested algae so I can put them back in my display tank or use them in my QT tank?

What I have done so far is take the harvested algae and put it into a separate container with the tank water. When holding a light up to the water I see the copepods gathering and I can suck them out. I have also put a sponge in the container and some of the copepods will gather in there.

I was wondering if there was some creative better solutions out there.

Welcome. Nice to see the scrubbers still working.

I don't know of another or any way to get the pods out. Light seems like a good start. Some folks have also put the screen in water and shook it, to try to get pods out.
