    Fowlr & ats

    I have fowlr and wanna to have ats for filtration. Do i remove the bio rings?

    Yes. Your sand and rock will do the job that the bio rings did.

    Thanks for you reply.

    I don't have sand bedding, only live rock. I 'm planning to change to use the artificial rock. May I still take away the bio ring?

    Well the ceramic seems like it will be ok once matured, but why change from live rock you already have?

    I wanna to re-do my rock work to make more cave for the fish and add some Lps. do i cure the ceramic rock add to the tank?

    Probably good idea to cure it.

    It will be a year before the new rock is covered in periphyton however.
