    pump size

    so what would be the right size pump for a scrubber 24 inch long and 4 inch in height?

    A waterfall needs 35 gph per inch of width of screen [60 lph per cm], at least. So 35 X 24 = 840 gph, at least. I would do 1200.

    ive got 3600lph pump but it just does not seem to cover the media properly just in bits here and there. it does not have a height to pump or any restrictions. i take it i am pumping 37.5 gallons per inch? should i make my slot wider as its very snug if so have you got any tips to do the slot

    1200 gph = 4542 lph, so your pump is less than the minimum to fill the screen. Besides getting a bigger pump, you could try taping 8" of the pipe slot, and cutting 8" vertically off of the screen.

    Just use plastic sandwich wrap, with one piece of tape at the top so the adhesive on the tape does not get wet.
