Build this scrubber about 2 months ago and decided this time to go LED. There has been minimal growth of a brown type algae.I have cleaned it every 10 days. Nitrat e's are 40 ppm and phosphates are 5 ppm and have the same since cycle. I have used scrubbers before and they have been awesome. not sure what's happening with this one ? Cheers

    Welcome from Australia.

My first guess is the lights are too focused; the middle is way too strong an burning, and the outer parts are too dark. What wattage are they?

A quick way to test this is to turn off the back light, and tape a few strips of clear plastic over the LEDs on the front one to diffuse the light. In a week you should have an answer.

Hello . The LED lights are 12 watt each. I will try to diffuse the light a little and see how it goes. I'm running them for 18 hours. Thank you for your time
