No, it is just the alk. It does not give Cal.
You might try one teaspoon, then test before adding more. After a while you will know how much to add for a given alk increase.
I know that part, just comparing alk from baking soda vs alk you buy commercially. Are they similar or is one Superior?
I don't know. Depends on what commercial ones put in it.
