Yea that's the difference between 5 real watts each light, and less real watts. And that's why a special material was need to mold it, because of the high power.

Looks like in both cases the light needs spreading out more.

What is the dry pellet to cube, ratio?
3 grams dry pellet, flake. Reconstituted to 10 grams. Wet volume is .85 Table spoon, or about 12 cc of paste.

1 frozen cube = 10 pinches of flake food = 10 square inches (60 sq cm) of nori = 0.1 dry ounce (2.8 grams) of pellet food

Note that these are not calorie equivalents. They are observed functional equivalents.

ID:	6620 suction cup threads, I fixed it by adding 1/16" 316 stainless fender washer. It appears the light 42 was molded a little thin with the clear resin on the light side.

You should be able to push the clear screw into the cup while turning it; should not need washers. All of the ones I tried I can tighten as much as needed.

Although I have had my new lights on for awhile now, I technically had growth in spots from my old lights. So today I pulled it out to do a good scrapping and clean up the bottom of the bucket. Now from here on out I'll know for sure the new growth rates and density of these new lights and not a mixture of new and old.

    After the cleaning...
