Quick question, is this normal for a new scrubber.

Brief setup description: screen is 13.5"x6" lit on one side formally by 46 real watts of the spiral cfls in 2700k, switched two days ago to two 100w comparable 15w actual led bulbs also claiming to be 2700k. Flow is low at 327 measured gph and the pump will be replaced this weekend. My question is, since I switched to the leds my dark dark brown algae has been dieing off in patches as shown in the picture. Is this normal before the green? Today will be 8 constant days of running (3 days previous of me fiddling with things that I'm not counting) or is the algae bleaching away and dieing? There is now yellow jelly just a discolored white screen.

    Welcome,

Can you post a pic or link of the leds?

I am using two of these bulbs at a bit of an angle averaging probably 3" from the screen.

Well best would be a grow-light, or red LED. But the growth is probably just converting to match the new light. See how it looks in a week.

OK thanks for the tip, got hit by a deer on my way home so unfortunately any lighting or pump upgrades are now postponed until I get that worked out.
