    Bugs eating algae off screen

I have a diy upflow scrubber in my sump. It was working fine and then stopped.Screen always stayed clean.
There is plenty of nutrients and algae is starting to grow in the DT.
I had a look and it seems the screen is covered in amphipods and bristle worms have got into the scrubber. it seems they are picking it clean. What can i do about this?

I usually find pods and bristle worms in my algae harvests. They don't even get close to eating all of the algae though. I suspect you have a different problem. I would try increasing the lighting either intensity or duration and see if the algae grows faster than what ever eats it.

Rinsing in your sink with tap water will get rid of them.
