Hello everyone. So i harvested my 2nd week since the screen started producing algae. Why is it still brown nor green? This is the 2nd week that i have harvested the scrubber. Does this still help removing nitrates and phosphates even though its brown algae? Do you guys have an idea when will it turn green? any advice will be good please help.
You just have really high nutrients. Dark growth still consumes lots of nutrients if you scrape it clean every 3 to 5 days.
Stronger light, and light on both sides, helps. And as nutrients in the water come down, the growth will get greener too. Just keep the black stuff scraped often.
