    Hog 3 Nitrate and Phosphate

    Hi
I'm using the hog 3 on 250 l Red Sea Max with protein skimmer.
I couldn't descrease the Nitrate Phosphate below 0.75/0.04 ppm NO3/PO4.
Is it ok or the scrubber isn't powerfull enough.?

The HOG3 fits on the sump wall?

The nitrate is very low. The phosphate is not too bad. Could be a little lower. Can you post picture of growth, and sump, and rocks?

    Hi,
attached please find some pictures of the growth and the rocks.
The sump is internal and include Deltec mc 500 protein skimmer and carbon.
The hog 3 is hanged on the left side wall.
I'm try to feed the tangs mostly with algae that I'm picking from the scrubber and the whole aquarium with dry food.
The pictures of the growth are 2 days after cleanup.

Two ways to improve filtering: Take out less growth each time, but everyday, so it stays full. Or, get a second scrubber.

Can also run the lights 2 hours more each day.

But it looks like it's working well.

I found that most of the grow come from the edge of the strings and not from the green grabber.
Some parts of the green grabber is white.
    Is it ok?

Yes it is. Darker slime attaches more to the rocks. Greener hair attaches more to the strings.
