Scrubber for Red Sea Max 260 E

I have a standard RSM 260E with no sump. The only space available is the sort of sump where you also keep the heater, return pumps, AI mounts, etc. I would like to supplement my filtration with an ATF. Has anyone out there done it? It would be the same for most AIO tanks anyway.

    Welcome,

Most people just remove a section of the black covering on the back compartment, and use a Hog scrubber there. A Drop could also fit if the thickness of the compartment is 3 inches or more.

The center compartment is a good place:

But of course you could always put the Hog on the front glass, up at the top so there is no bubbles.

    Hope that helps.

I didn't want it to take over for the skimmer yet. I'm using it as supplementing my skimmer for now. I did purchase the Drop .6. I have enough space in one of the compartments to just make it.

I am having the most frustrating times trying to establish algae growth. I have taken it off the timer in hopes of getting a decent amount. Has been set up @ 6 weeks. Nitrates 5 ppm, phosphate .5 PPM. There is SOME growth but obviously not making a dent in phosphate / nitrate control.
