    new hog1 help

I bought a HOG1 and hooked it up 15 days ago. The algae grabber is still paper white. Any advice on changes that will get it growing algae? Details below...

    Waterbox 40.1 (15g sump and 25g display)
Department store air bubbler running 24/7 on HOG1
Timer on HOG1 set for about 16 hours a day.. (on mainly when main light is in the dusk dawn off stages)

Livestock = 1 bicolor blenny, assorted snails, 1 emerald crab, moderate amount of lps and softy coral.
    Nitrates run 5-10
Phosphates run 0 (i suspect the algae that is growing is using it up)
Skimmer running 24/7 rated for 90 gallons
    Small gfo reactor running

Live rock grown hair algae and a slowish rate (if i dont remove rock and toothbrush it every few weeks it begins to look like a jungle)
Glass grows green algae at a moderate rate (bi weekly cleanings required)
Powerhead grown algae faster than I can remove it daily.

HOG1 scrubber still paper white no algae growth whatsoever. Tried it with black cloth covering 1 of 2 leds for a week and tried it without black cloth for a week.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    Welcome.

Why the airstone; what happened to the airline bubbler?

Ok post a picture of the unit operating, and also of the white surfaces in regular white light.

Too much light. Cover 3/4 of the light until white surfaces get growth and are no longer white.
