    Algaescrubber in Poland

    Hello All Algaescrubber fans!
This is my first topic on this forum. I'm from Poland. My English isn't perfect, so i'm sorry for any language mistakes. I set algaescrubber 2 months ago. I built it in my new system 150 gallon total volume. It runs skimmerless all the time (2 months from start). I have read the FAQ. I built my scrubber by "one square inch for one gallon water of system volume" and "35 gallon/hour of flow for one inch of length of net". My fish: 3 surgeons (max 3 inch long), 4 chromis viridis, 2 blenna, one six line wrasse, 2 ocellaris.
    My scrubber:

    lighting: 3 x 24W

    flow:

Foto period in my scrubber is 18 hours ON/ 6 hours OFF. NO3 was always undetectable, but one week ago it was o.1mg/l (hanna)
There are brown dense algae growing on my algaescrubber. I scrape my scrubber one time a week.
I suppose that, i did something wrong, because it's running for more than 2 months and PO4 is 0,34mg/l (hanna).
Could You check my set up and tell me what is wrong? I'd be very glad.
    Kindest Regards
    KIDULT

Nice construction. Your biggest problem is very high phosphate, which is causing black/thick algae. Black algae must be cleaned as soon as it grows, because it will not grow any more. So clean every 3 days until the growth starts turning green.

Also, more even flow would help. A slot (with screen inserted) is best for even flow, but since you already have yours built, drill twice as many holes in the pipe. This will even out the flow.

But most important is cleaning more often. See here:

    Kcress:

Don't change the color. Air/Sea Rescue Orange *is* the preferred color for marine equipment. For safety.

Too early to tell. If you cut your feeding in half, it will be quicker. When you screen starts growing green, it is working.
