    zeospur2 - is it safe?

    Hi,
ZEOspur 2 is a product of permanent development of the Zeovit system. It results from our practical experience of keeping corals with extreme coloration.
It is highly concentrated it is important not to chance dosing recommendation on the label: 1 ml /100 L/25 gallons each 8-10 days.
The result can be seen 24 h after dosing and reaches the highest level after 48 h.
With this trace element solution it is possible to influence the amount of zooxanthellae in the coral tissue. The coral itself has more energy for growth because the reduced zooxanthellae density requires less energy. – Controlled reduction of zooxanthellae density for Acropora, Anacropora or Montipora. – The reduction of zooxanthellae in the outer layers brings out the colors from deeper layers. – To maintain color of highly colored corals. – Recommended in any tank system.

i would like to try korallen-zucht zeospur2 when my PO4 = 0. This substance affects the zooxanthele leave corals. It can even cause death zooxanthele (?). I suspect that this substance may harm the algae on the ATS and the filtration system collapse. Did anyone try ZEOSPUR2 in skimmerless aquarium?

I really don't know about it. I read a few places that the zeo products were basically vodka/carbon dosing, which reduces nutrients in the water. However you need a skimmer to remove the bacteria that grows from it.

The scrubber does the same reducing of nutrients, but does not require a skimmer. So as your nutirents come down, your corals get brighter. And since you don't need a skimmer, all the coral food (bacteria, copepods, fish waste, fed food) gets to stay in the water, so the corals get much much more food than in a zeo system.
