Scrubber is back in action, manually remove GHA from display

I didn't realize my scrubber light timer was stuck to on so I’m hoping it starts growing better now! I have a tiny bit of GHA in my display and a good bit on my frag plugs in my prop tank. Should I try to rip out as much as I can so my scrubber grows quicker, or will this fade when the scrubber starts pulling nutrients?
