    FW Algae Scrubber

    Hi Guys,

    I am in the early stages of creating an algae scrubber for my freshwater 40 UK gallon tank. I have found a couple these:

    Would they work for the algae scrubber?

    No... to much heat, not enough light.

    You need fluorescents

    Thanks for the reply.

    Would I be able to use the lampholder but just change the bulb?

    Also do we have any scubber builders in the UK?

    Yes change the bulb.

    Just post an a there here and on other forums for a builder.

    Hey

    I have been looking around for a suitable pump. The link below shows a pump with a flow of 2000LPH. The price seems a little too good to be true though. What do you guys think?

    I have also purchased the below bulb. Would this be suitable for the scrubber?
