A scrubber will probably over power seagrass, but nobody has tested this that I know of. If you kept super strong lighting and flow on the seagrass it might hold up.

i guess my only other question would be , would the sea grass if succesfull grow too many roots and destroy my dsb or would enough sand critters keep the sand turned enough despite the roots?
I don't know much else about it.
DIY LR'll rise FW pH to 10-12 for 1st few weeks.I don't think many algae can survive that.I too used DIY LR & seeded it with cured premium quality LR.DIY LR took almost 6-8 weeks to cure .Hope it helps.
