    My Mini ATS

    I drew up these designs based off of Santa Monica's 100 ATS. The box is built around using Coralife's 9" 18w mini Aqualight. I also plan on switching the bulbs to a 2700k color temp bulb.

    I still need to purchase some 1/8th clear acrylic for the inside windows, as well as drill the holes out.

    I used a router to cut out the windows. It's not super pretty but it will do.

    I may change the lid design slightly and I still need to cut out notches for the On switches and power cords.

    I may also end up going with a 3/4"OD pipe instead of the 1"OD pipe, but I'm not sure yet.
    My total cost so far:
    2 x USED 9" Coralife mini Aqualights = $35
    24" x 24" 1/4 Black Acrylic = $38
    Total= $73

    I didn't use all the acrylic on the ATS, I also was able to make myself an in tank overflow box.
    I will post more pic's as soon as I make more progress. Thanks for looking.

    Nifty design. Should be high filtering for a 36 gal, or medium filtering for a 72.

    Thanks SM, your first box inspired me to build my own. My tank is a 24g Aquapod, that I'm drilling to add a 10g sump.
    Here is a pic of my tank and the stand I started building for it.

    A pic of the overflow box I made.

    It will be mounted here.
