    Moes Scrubber V2

hi guys just letting everyone know that im planning a new tank, 69cm cube (smaller tank because i live in a smaller house now) and that should be on the way soon.

So new scrubber build imminent. Will post pics when I get something running.

quick question. is there too much flow?

I was thinking about doing a 24cm squared screen so 9 or so inches squared, dual layer, 4x 24w cfls,

i was thinking about running my main overflow pipe or full siphon pipe rather to go direct to the ATS

if my tank is 322 L or around 85 gal and they say about running 4x the volume through the return that would be like 1288L through the main siphon

if this went direct to the ATS would that be over kill and cause issues?

    No that just about right.

    1288 lph = 340 gph.

340 divided by 35 = about 10 inch wide screen.

Just make is single layer, with a 1/8 inch slot. Double layers need about 50 gph.

ah right too easy ill go the single layer then.

    on a side note,

Since the tank is still in the planning stages, would there be any advantages in getting more happening, so getting a bigger siphon drilled, dual layering it or not really in my case?

If you were going to do continuous liquid feeding for your corals, then you might want to have two scrubbers running separately, with twice the flow. Otherwise you should be fine.
