    Scrubber on baffle?

I am designing my first reef sump and I'm wanting to include an algae scrubber. Can you just attach mesh on the last over baffle that runs into a low return section and light it there? I have considered another situation with the scrubber flow run by the tank overflow, but I doubt it will have enough to run over 7", which with 100 in^2 (one side lit up) makes it fairly long.

I have a 29 gallon and am building a 29 gallon sump. I'm trying to build as large of a refugium as possible so that I can use it for coral propagation, breeding, etc.

If you want to experiment and watch algae grow, you can try the putting screen on the divider. A lot of things will keep it from working great, however, but it might do ok, and it's super easy. If you really need to make filtering happen, reliably, you'll need to build a proper on over the sump or over the display.
