Water flow going in between my double screen. OK?

Hi,

I have a 10 inch wide double layer screen and am using a 350 GPH pump. The flow looks pretty decent but I noticed that only one side of the screen is getting flow flow over the entire surface. The opposite side is getting some flow but I think the majority is going in between the layers of screening.

I'm thinking this shouldn't be a big deal as the middle of the screen grows algae it will force flow to the outside of the screen. Am I correct in this? Or, do I need to adjust my design to get even water flow over both sides from the start?

Double layers are too hard to work with, for reasons like this. Switch to single.
