is it ok to use a uv steralizer for disease control? would this harm my algae scrubber in any way?

    Re: uv steralizer

My guess " correct me if wrong" but any thing that runs threw a UV alive comes out dead, dead = wast,, scrubber removes N and P "wast"

I have keep my 2000gph UV around just in case. I feed heavy with my Phytoplankton I culture, And in the past when I first started using Phyto my first time I feed too much and had a kind of green water bloom. That UV saved my butt.

I would not think it would hurt anything of the scrubber, just you would be killing all live food that runs threw the UV.
