I don't have access to plastic canvas and I would really like to experiment with algae scrubbers. Any thoughts on replacement material would be great. I tried roughing up acrylic but that wasn't successful.
Thanks

I will be following this thread, as I've been looking for something else as well.
Welcome from Egypt.
I don't see why it can't be shipped to you. But, if it can't, you can also try:
White nylon or polypropylene strings/rope,
White nylon woven cloth, roughed up.
White polypropylene cloth, roughed up.
thanks for the suggestion I'll try that
Shipping to Egypt costs around $50 (from Amazon) so for a $5 canvas I'd pay $55 so it wouldn't be worth it. I'm dying to get a Red sea reef foundation test kit but the total cost would be almost half what I paid here for a 100g tank.
Looks like someone needs to set up a distributorship there.
I could get one to you for 10usd (including the mesh) or less as it should fit in a large envelope. Shipping from NZ internationally is quite reasonable.
