The SLIP.7 (tm) is the world's first combo scrubber: It's a chaeto reactor, and a waterfall algae scrubber, and also a UAS® upflow algae scrubber® built into a single unit. It slips into the back of most nano aquarium back compartments (see tank models below), and all below-tank sumps, and of course it can go into all displays where you hide it behind a rock or plant.

To supply water to the SLIP.7 you can do one or more of the following:

    1. Place under an overflow; in this case no pump is needed.

    2. "T" or "Y" from your existing water pump tubing; in this case no extra pump is needed.

    3. Get a tiny adjustable water pump (rated 50 gph or more). An example pump is the smallest one of these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/253979919126

    4. Use an air pump instead; the air bubbles will circulate the water.

To supply air to the SLIP.7 get an adjustable 2-outlet air pump such as the Danner AP-4 ...

    https://www.dannermfg.com/supreme-ox...lume-air-pumps

... and then "T" or "Y" the 2 outlets of the pump into 1 air line tubing, which will then go to the SLIP air tubing on the top, or on the bottom. The top tubing connects directly to the Green Grabber screen (and is more quiet), whereas the bottom tubing connects to the bottom plate (which allows you to not use the screen).

You can use smaller 1-outlet air pumps, but they usually are not adjustable, and you will want to be able to control the amount of air bubbles in order to control the sound. Alternately you can tie a knot in the tubing, which will slow down the air flow.

The grow-light is included; it is a single GEM5® light strip which puts about up to 1,000 PAR of 660nm deep red light, with a power supply that operates on 240V and 120V with no transformer needed (just a different plug, or a "figure 8 laptop power cord"... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNM7G32LLug )

Replacement GEM5 lights, with or without power supply, are at https://www.santa-monica.cc/product.asp?itemid=84 ... If operating in freshwater, you probably will not need a timer for the lights; in saltwater you can start off with no timer for a few weeks but may need to add a timer later based on algae growth conditions in the SLIP.

Using the overflow from a nano display, to feed into the top of the SLIP.7 which slips down into the back of nano AIO back compartment sumps.

    Dimensions:

    9 inches tall (23 cm)
    3 1/2 inches wide (9 cm)
    1 3/4 inches thick (4.5 cm)

Not shown is the GEM5 black shade screen inside.

Also, a small block of black filter foam could be added at the botton to catch any chaeto particles, and to block all remaining light out of the bottom.

Neat trick for saltwater: Grow chaeto first, then turn on air bubbles to grow slime, GHA, or cyano on the chaeto, then harvest all of it together.

Use a small water pump and air pump for the bottom of the SLIP.7 which then slips down into the back of nano AIO back compartment sumps.

The SLIP.7 (tm) really can... slip into small spaces. In this back compartment, the water level is probably low enough for the SLIP to operate in waterfall mode, or chaeto mode, or bubble upflow mode, or any two, or all three.
