    If the tray sits on the waterline, the top will be 15" high, and needs 3" above that (total 18") to lift or rotate the dome lid to pull forward.

    Once lifted from the tray and tilted forward, it needs about 12" of opening to pull out of the sump; this is the top of the sump rim to the bottom of the tank. Of course with an open sump it can just be lifted straight upward.

    If using the pole mount, the tray can go as low as 8 1/2". So the sump water can be anything below this. If the water is higher, then you adjust the pole mount higher.
