Yes been around for a while. I got one a few years ago. If you have a sheet of acrylic, you can make one.

Yeah I was thinking one wouldn't be too difficult to make. Thanks.

I am importing a test batch of these into the UK to check out the flexibility and build quality. There are 5 sizes. I think the largest one has real potential for an effective scrubber. I want to be able to offer a ready to use scrubber for the UK hobbyist at a fair price. The largest should be affordable. They can be mounted at any slant from horizontal to vertical.

There is also a second range I am looking at that seemingly has even better build quality.

Not all hobbyists want to mess around with tools, cutting, fitting, etc. we just want a plug and play solution.

The hobbyist then just needs to supply the lighting of his choice.

I have yet to source a really good LED red/blue lighting solution though.

Will keep you informed with progress.

I am currently evaluating 2 X 20w LED's which have 16 reds and 4 blue LED's on my DIT scrubber as per my post on it. I know somebody who has been using one of these lighyts for some months and reports good GHA growth. The LED's are made up of: LED wavelength:16 x 650-660NM(red), 4 x 440-450NM(blue)

They seem to have a nice slim profile. Do they give out much heat?

One of the reason i bought these light is the slim profile they have. To answer your second question they get warm but not hot to the touch. I suspect the hole body is a heat sink for them.

I received the first sample of these scrubbers today. I purchased the largest model which has a large generous one sided growing bed, which is adjustable in size.

I would say this model is 4 - 5 times the size of the one in the link.

My first impression is the top quality and sturdy build. Well thought out. Adjustable. Durable. It can be used as a horizontal or vertical (or any between) scrubber.

So, once I have thought of the best mounting layout, I will start testing.

    Impressed.
